180 meter Dive on Yolanda

The support team had about 30 minutes of anxiety from the moment the divers started the decent until they shot the first SMB from 90 meters on the way up. The entire dive was enjoyable for all, and everyone was in high spirits throughout and happy to be involved in such a project.

A dive on a new 80m Ferry

We had some leftover gas from the cave project and on the way back to Hurghada we stopped in the approximate location of the wreck,"El Quamar Il  Saudi il Masri. We used our depth sounder in the only area south of Siyal Island that has a depth of 80m.

Salem and the Dolphin

On this dive on the Salem Express the group is visited by a Dolphin that greatly changed the spirit of the wreck and made a usually eerie dive really pleasant for our guests.

Whale Shark on Deco

The Shaab Sharm dive offers a lot to both the technical and the recreational diver. There is a wreck at 75 meters, a cave at 45 and a great plateau from around 35 sloping up to the reef top. It is a dive that never ends.

Manta birostris

This year the Red Sea has seen an unprecedented revival of manta and whale shark activity. It seems that the conservation efforts of the local environmental agency HEPCA, the Red Sea Protectorate and some of the responsible diving operators, are starting to pay off.  Red Sea Explorers has had many encounters this year, the best of them being this one with a manta at Little Brother Island featured in this video by Nick Poole

Conserving the Thistlegorm

Red Sea Explorers (RSE) has always collaborated with Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association (HEPCA) on various projects to conserve the Red Sea. Recently HEPCA has started a campaign to conserve the world famous wreck the HMS Thistlegorm
