Frequently Asked Questions


Below you will find general information on your liveaboard experience.


  • Passport details need to be sent to our office at least 10 days prior to the date of your departure from the harbour.  Make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months and please bring a copy of your passport with you.
  • Details such as flight number, arrival and departure time must be sent to our office at least 10 days ahead of travelling. We are not responsible for any flight delays.
  • When booking flights please consider the time of your departure in relation to your diving activities. The last dive of the safari is usually midday on the day before departure; for safety reasons, you should consider waiting 24 hours before flying.
  • Check in is at 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is 11am on the day of departure.
  • The first night and last nights of the trip are spent either onboard in port or in a 4* hotel.
  • The boat returns to harbour before sunset, one day prior to your departure date, giving you ample time to wash and dry your equipment before travel.
  • Once all the guests have arrived, your dive guide will give a comprehensive briefing about the boat and safety procedures.
  • Three meals are served daily and everything is prepared onboard from scratch.
  • Common areas include the saloon and upper decks, where you can relax between dives.
  • Recommended items to bring include sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and a book. Please note that shoes are removed on boarding the boat and given back at the end of the week.  You can bring slippers if you would like.
  • All cabins have an ensuite bathroom and A/C.
  • Each guest is provided with a towel for fresh water and a bathrobe for salt water. Towels and sheets are changed halfway through the trip.
  • After unpacking, your suitcases will be stored away until your departure.
  • If you wish to sleep outside, please bring a sleeping bag with you.
  • Smoking is strictly forbidden in the cabins.
  • Dive guides are available for certified divers, while dive instructors are available onboard for those who wish to begin or continue their underwater journey.
  • The dive deck onboard is equivalent to a fully equipped dive centre. Smoking is strictly forbidden in this area.
  • Divers are assigned a spot where their tank and equipment will be stationed for the duration of the week.
  • Diving certification and experience are required for Marine Parks as per Egyptian law.
  • For southern itineraries, we strongly recommend a minimum of 30 logged dives. For BDE a minimum of Advanced certification with 50 logged dives.  The last dive should be no longer than six months ago prior to this trip. If one of these requirements is not fulfilled, our dive guides have the right to exclude the diver from certain dives during the  trip. In addition, dive guides can change the route according to group’s level and experience. Don´t forget to bring your logbook.  
  • The Red Sea Association rules state that all divers are required to fill out a self-declaration Medical Statement before diving in the Red Sea.   Please bring a medical from your own doctor if you have a 'yes' to any of these questions.
  • There are two fully equipped decompression chambers in Hurghada for treating diving related injuries and accidents. We recommend having diving insurance in case of emergencies.
  • The Red Sea is a dry desert climate and you can expect temperatures of 35 C in the summertime.
  • The winter months can get cold in the evenings and we recommend bringing warm items such as beanies, warm socks and a windbreaker.

  1. Hunting, fishing, collecting or destroying corals and shells is prohibited.
  2. It is prohibited to throw anything in the sea including oil, garbage, grease, plastic etc…
  3. It is prohibited to use boat anchors in protected areas.
  4. Feeding fish and birds is forbidden.
  5. It is forbidden to use diving gloves and knives.
  6. It is not allowed to walk on corals or reef.
  • As in any other country, you are more than welcome to tip the crew if you are satisfied with the service provided during your trip.
  • Recommended gratuity is €80 per person.
